Pencils

School starts Monday. I just hope I have enough pencils. Every day I put any pencils or pens I've found in a designated drawer. These are all of the ones I found last year.

Funny Thoughts About Flying Really Quickly Into Space

Just a funny thought I had about planets and flying into space really quickly.
First, two things: Gravity, and centrifugal force.
Gravity is when a small object is attracted to a bigger one, i.e. little arthropods attracted to large mounds of rock. Gravity is the reason we don't just fly away as the earth is spinning at around  1,038 MPH (At the equator). Because the earth has greater mass than us, we are pulled towards it.

Centrifugal force is when you spin something and it pushes outwards, which is why when you spin a bucket with your hand then the water dosent fall out, or why those spinning things on playgrounds are so fun.

"Look ma: SCIENCE!"

So if the world is spinning fast, why do we not fly really quickly into space? Because of gravity. Why do we have gravity? Because the earth is big.  So what if the earth was smaller? The Earth is already 'stretched' because of the constant spinning, making it an oblong shape.

So baasically, if the Earth keeps spinning, it will eventually cause bits and pieces of earth to fly off, decrasing mass until the gravity isnt strong enough to hold us down. THIS HAS BEEN A MEANINGLESS LECTURE ON SCIENCE I DONT UNDERSTAND. NEXT WEEK: IF EVERYTHING WAS BASED OFF OF GOLDFISH. Also, 600 pageviews. wooh! 600 pgviews! That means that in every 7,000,000 people, 7 will know about this blog! PROGRESS.

Batman Faceswap

So while I was gallivanting around the mall yesterday, I happened to stumble across one of those "Claw" toys. I usually pay no attention, but something in it caught my eye, and I had to snap a picture because it was really creepy:

It might not seem that creepy now, but...
Im sorry. That as a horrible job of editing. You may shake your head in disgust if you wish.
Ewghughblerwafrfhlah.
I'm not sure if its just a really weird looking batman, or my job of editing was horrible.
(At least I used GIMP AND Microsoft Paint! For the smudging. A little. I smudged it.)

NASA- 'Curiosity'

In case you missed it, there was a bonus post Tuesday. Go check it out!
As some of you may have heard, NASAs Rover, dubbed "Curiosity", landed last Sunday on Mars. Curiosity was launched on Nov. 26 last year, and has just now arrived on Mars.
Radiation Assessment Detector Curiosity's mission is to gather data to see if life on Mars is possible.
One of the instruments shown is the "Radiation Assessment Detector", (Right).
It is used to, (believe it or not), detect and assess radiation! WHAT A SURPRISE!
The RAD (As NASA calls it. Dang they love their acronyms.) does what it does because they need to see if it would be safe for an astronaut to make the 1.6 yr trip to mars, what kind of protection they would need, what kind of superpowers they would gain, etc.
There's also a variety of cameras and drills for obvious reasons.
Weighing as much as a car, it looks pretty cool:

Eh?

In fact, some of it's first pictures have already been "beamed" back. heres one:

Mars
AAAH! an alien! Just kidding, that's Curiosity's'  shadow

The Piano Guys

No, Im not advertising. Im simply informing you about things you havent been informed about.
Some of you may have heard of The Piano Guys. If not, I shall spread the news!
I felt like I needed to put this here.
First off, the Piano Guys are a group of guys that make some pretty dang awesome videos. They do some songs that you might know, like the Charlie Brown Medley ->
And then some that they have written on their own, and even some adaptions to other songs.

So, I've gathered some of my favorite videos of theirs and arranged them in a way to best show off the broadness and amazing-ness. I include a little summary of the video above. Ladies, and Gentlemen, I give you:

I think I'll start off with a laugh. How can you not laugh at this? LAUGH!
Its Darth Vader playing the accordian! HOW CAN YOU NOT BE AMUSED?

The Piano Guys performed The Charlie Brown Medley (As mentioned above!)
at a senior center. And they were awesome.

They perform One Directions "Thats What Makes You Beautiful" with one. Piano.
ONE.
PIANO.

No comment. Just watch. Enjoy.

He wrote this song with he was 17. 17!?

The Cello player really like his Cello. Alot.

Arizona Crayons

Oh hey, 4 more pageviews until 400 pageviews!
Hit those share buttons like theres no tomorrow!
Just one more now!
So, a couple days ago, my family went to Arizona (Oh, and I went too).
In case you didn't know, its really, really hot in Arizona, the lowest being around 90 (Fahrenheit) And the highest around 120.

So. My little brother (4yrs-ish) has this huge Avengers coloring book; he's really into superheroes, and his new favorite thing is to run across the street, in a pose somewhat like this, and yell "I CAN MAKE IT", believing he can, indeed, "make it". So far, he has made it, but he gets in some big trouble.

Anyways, whats a colouring book without crayons? He needed crayons, so he brought some. Long story short, if crayons sit in a little metal container in a hot car in Arizona, they will melt. For sure. And this is exactley what they did. So I thought I might post some pictures of said crayon-clump.

Yep, it's solid

Still work pretty well though.

So I saw this mass of whatever-crayons-are-made-out-of and figured It would be pretty funny. Is it?
